Omniture Buys Touch Clarity For $51.5M

Orem, Utah-based Omniture said Wednesday that it is acquiring London-based Touch Clarity, a provider of automated behavioral targeting software, in a deal worth $51.5M. $16.5M of the deal is cash, plus $3.0M in earnout, with the remaining $32.5M to be paid in stock or cash at Omniture's election in November. Touch Clarity provides technology which is offered as software-as-a-service which allows companies to optimize their web sites. The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2007. Omniture said that it will add more that 50 Touch Clarity personnel to its team. Touch Clarity's team will continue to be based in London.
