NexGen Storage Adds Vmware QoS Features

Louisville, Colorado-based solid state storage developer NexGen Storage said today that it has upgraded its products, to provision and guarantee performance for VMware datastore storage volumes. The firm said its updated ioControl 2.1 software lets specifcy VMware datastore performance from within vCenter, which will help its customer guarantee application performance in virtual environments. The updated software also provides monitoring of workloads, quality-of-service settings, and reporting. The new software works with NexGen's n5 Series of products, and will ship in December.
