Salt Lake City-based Needle, the startup led by Morgan Lynch, said today that its systems and services helped power nearly $100,000 in online donations for the Children's Miracle Network during its recent Extra Life event. Needle's software and services--which connects web visitors up with online chat with experts and advocates for its e-commerce customers--said its platform was used to engage with online visitors, and helped boost registrations and donations for the Children's Miracle Network Hospital effort. Extra Life is the nonprofit group's annual gaming marathon to raise money for charity. Needle is venture backed by Shasta Ventures, Rembrandt Venture Partners, Kickstart Seed Fund, and others, and usually provides its chat software and systems to e-commerce sites.
