MyForce Secures $2M For Personal Safety Service

Denver-based MyForce, which operates a mobile service to provide a sense of personal safety, said it has raised $2M for its service. The financing game from Greenline Ventures. MyForce offers up a subscription service which connects smartphone users via an app to a "professional response team" when they feel threatened--for example, when walking across a dark parking lot at night. The company said its apps, available on the iPhone, Android, or Blackberry, allow its team to record and listen when users feel threatened, and to summon emergency help if needed. The firm said its service is aimed at providing "personal protection and freedom from fear." More information »
