, which develops software used for enterprise identity management, announced today that it has acquired
Elastic Beam
, a developer of artificial intelligence software used to secure application programming interfaces (APIs). Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. Ping Identity said it will use the acquisition to launch a new product, PingIntelligence for APIs. Elastic Beam's software is used to identify and block cyberattacks which target APIs across both the public and hybrid cloud. Elastic Beam was based in Redwood City, California.
