Jive Communications, a developer of cloud-based phone systems for the Unified Communications (UC) market, has been acquired by Boston-based
LogMeIn, LogMeIn said this morning. LogMeIn said it will pay $342M in cash, plus an additional $15M in cash contingency payments on specific milestones. According to LogMeIn, the deal will help bolster its current offerings, which include GoToMeeting, GoToWebinar, OpenVoice, and join.me. LogMeIn said Jive has over 20,000 customers worldwide. Jive Communications' CEO, John Pope, will continue to run the Jive Communications business, the two said.
