Techstars Gets Exit At Orbeus
Boulder-based startup accelerator operator Techstars has scored another high profile exit for a company, at artificial intelligence and visual recognition startup Orbeus. Amazon apparently acquired Orbeus in late 2015, it emerged yesterday, in a deal which bolsters Amazon's image analysis and recognition software expertise. Orbeus was one of the first companies in Techstars Chicago, and was founded by Tianqiang Liu and Meng Wang. The company was created at Boston University, incubated in Chicago, and eventually moved to Silicon Valley before being acquired.
