In more proof that Boulder is becoming the robot capital of the world, Boulder-based
Seamless Toy Company, a new startup developing interactive, robotic toys, said today that it has raised $2.6M in a seed funding round--and launched a line of interactive toys. The funding round included investments from individual partners at Elevation Partners, including former Apple Software CTO Avie Tevanian, former Apple CFO Fred Anderson, and Bono. The seed funding also included Promus Ventures, Founder Collective, Proof Ventures, as well as other angels. Seamless Toy Company was founded by Michael Rosenblatt, a former Apple employee, and develops "smart building blocks" under the
ATOMS name, which let children create their own, interactive, robotic toys--all controlled by an iPad, iPhone, or iPod.
