Ancestry.com Updates Shoebox Photo Scanning App
Provo, Utah-based family history site Ancestry.com said this morning that it has launched an updated, mobile app to help users scan their family photos into the service. Ancestry.com said its updated Shoebox mobile app, which works on iOS and Android, lets users daily scan paper photos into Ancestry.com, automatically correcting the perspective of scanned photos, tagging photos and dates, and more. Ancestry.com has had the app since last year, when it acquired 1000memories, the original developers of the Shoebox app.
