Domo, the closely watched startup headed by former Omniture founder Josh James, has tapped another Omniture veteran as its Chief Scientist and Chief Strategy Officer, the company said Monday. Domo, which is based in Provo, said that Brett Error, the former CTO of Omniture, has joined in the position to help define corporate strategy and direction of its infrastructure and technology. Domo said that Error had served as CTO of Omniture for 14 years.
Domo, which is backed by $125M in funding and such name brand investors as Benchmark, IVP, GGV Capital, Greylock Partners, Founders Fund, Andreessen Horowitz, SV Angel, and Hummer Winblad, is developing a cloud-based, business intelligence and dashboard software. Domo's James has been pulling back a significant bench of his former executives from Omniture to Domo, including Chris Harrington (President) and Steve Wellen (COO), just to name a few.
