Google Kills Last Of SketchUp, Google Building Maker
Remember Boulder-based @Last Software, the maker of 3D modeling tools acquired by Google back in 2006? Well, the last remaining piece of @Last, Google's Building Maker, will be no more as of June, according to Google. Google has killed off Building Maker, along with a number of other pieces of software, as it continues to trim the number of projects it offers to its users. The shutdown of the service is no surprise--Google already sold the more advanced 3D modeling tools from Google Sketchup to Trimble last year.
