AlchemyAPI Lands $2M In Financing Round

Are you a software developer who needs to understand and parse through vast amounts of text data? Denver-based AlchemyAPI has just raised $2M to further develop its products, which do exactly that--helping developers understand unstructured content through a software-as-a-service-based, natural language processing service. AlchemyAPI said the Series A funding round was led by Access Venture Partners, and included both new equity and debt.

AlchemyAPI said the new funding will go towards scaling its operations, developing new products and services, and expanding its sales and partner channels. AlchemyAPI was founded and is headed by Elliot Turner. The firm offers up its APIs in Java, C/C++, C#, Perl, PHP, Python, Ruby, and other languages.
