Orbotix Dangles A Month Of Bacon For Sphero Videos
In what might be one of the more unusual contests to emerge from a local startup, Boulder-based Orbotix, the developer of the Sphero robotic ball, said today that it will award a one month supply of bacon -- along with things like a gumball machine, bean bag chair, and a case of energy drinks --for the best video featuring the Sphero. the company said the videos could "prank your friends, family, classmates or coworkers" or feature the Sphero in other situations, with a deadline of November 1st for entries. The folks at Orbotix seem to be a fan of using the Sphero for pranks: back in May they released a video where they disguised the Sphero as an orange and fooled people at a local grocery store.
