LowestMed Takes On Prescription Drug Shopping
Salt Lake City-based LowestMed, a new statup headed by Brad Bangerter, said today that it has launched a mobile app which allows users to compare the price of prescription drugs at local pharmacies. The company said the app, which runs on iPhone and Android, helps user compare supermarket and pharmacy chain prices, including those of generics, on their mobile phone. Bangerter was previously at ProviderPay, the healthcare firm recently acquired by Zions Bancorporation. Bangerter also has served at FHP Healthcare and John Hancock National Account Services.
