Level 3 Dumps Coal Mining Business
Broomfield, Colorado-based Level 3 Communications,m the provider of telecommunications services, reported this morning that it has sold its coal mining business. The firm said the sale, to Ambre Energy Limited, will allow it to focus on its core business operations. Level 3 was part owner of mining operations in Montana and Wyoming, via subsidiary KCP, Inc. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
