ZeaChem Lands $19M For Biofuels Effort
Lakewood, Colorado-based Zeachem, a developer of renewable fuels biorefineries, said today that it has raised $19M in a Series C funding round. The round was led by Birchmere Ventures, along with existing investors Firelake Capital, Globespan Capital Partners, Mohr Davidow Ventures, PrairieGold Venture Partners and Spring Ventures. Zeachem said it has added Ross Pillari, Charles "Charlie" Shaver, and Sean D.S. Sebastian to its board as part of the investment. Sebastian represents Birchmere. Pillari is the former Chairman and CEO of BP America; Shaver was most recently at TPC Group.
