CasaTunes, a developer of multi-room, music servers, said today that it has launched native apps for iPad and Android Tablet platforms. The firm said the apps allow users to control music from those devices. The apps are free to users. CasaTunes provides hardware and software which allows users to stream music from Windows, iTunes, and Internet radio stations. The firm was founded by David Krinker and Maynard "Kim" Knapp. Krinker has previously been at Seagate Software/VERITAS, and Knapp was founder of Maynard Electronics, which developed the Backup Exec tape backup products that eventually became part of VERITAS.
