Zayo, the bandwidth provider run by Dan Caruso, has inked a dark fiber relationship with
360networks, the firm said Tuesday. The two said that Zayo will provide metro dark-fiber connectivity to 360networks. Financial details of the win was not disclosed. Zayo Group has been amassing a major network of fiber connectivity throughout the U.S., and is backed by such firms as Morgan Stanley, Chrlesbank Capital PArtners, Battery Ventures, Centennial Ventures, Columbia Capital, M/C Venture Partners, Morgan Stanley AIP, and Oak Investment Partners. Caruso--who is also chairman of Envysion, and was CEO of ICG Communications--has pushed privately held Zayo's revenues past $275M via a series of major acquisitions.
