Spectra Logic Adds Data Integrity Options
Boulder, Colorado-based Spectra Logic, the provider of tape storage libraries, announced today that it is now offering new data integrity verification options across its T-Series tape libraries. The firm said the new feature is free of charge. The feature provides check of long term reliability of data written to tape, by automatically checking the media and data throughout the storage life of data. Spectra Logic said the feature periodically performs read verification on tape media, and reports latent failures.
