FreeWave Launches New Radios
Boulder-based FreeWave Technologies, the developer of spread spectrum and licensed radios used for data transmission in the industrial market, said this morning that it has launched a new product for global usage. The firm said the new product is aimed at OEMs, integrators, and end users of its 900 MHz FGR and FGR2 products, operating instead in the 2.4 GHz spectrum. The new radios allow customers to use the firm's products outside of North America. 2.4 Ghz is the bandwidth spectrum reserved for international use, while 900 MHz is only usable in North America.
