Flywheel Pulls In $7.3M For Second Fund
New Mexico-based Flywheel Ventures, the early stage venture capital firm run by Trevor Loy and Kim Sanchez Real, has received $7.5M in the firm's second fund, Flywheel II, LP, according to a recent regulatory filing. The firm kicked off fundraising in September of 2009 for the fund. It's unclear from filings if the funds only include funds so far invested in companies, or if they represent funds received from overall committments from its general partners. The firm has been looking to raise $35.0M for Flywheel II. The filing indicates the fund now has around 53 investors. Flywheel has been an investor in such companies as Filtrbox, Trackvia, CoMeT Solutions, and Groople.
