IHS Buys Software Firm Quantitative Micro Software
Englewood, Colorado-based IHS said this morning that it has acquired Quantitative Micro Software (QMS), a developer of Windows-based econometric and forecasting software. The deal was worth $40M. QMS develops EViews, used for economics simulation by companies, government agencies, and researchers. The firm was based in Irvine, California, and started in 1984.
