JDA Software Buys i2 Technologies
Scottsdale, Arizona-based JDA Software said today that it is acquiring i2 Technologies, a maker of supply chain management software, in a deal worth approximately $434.4M. The two companies said the acquisition will create a new company with a combined $617M in revenues. The acquisition comes nearly a year after JDA abandoned its effort to acquire i2, in a deal which fell through in the midst of the market meltdown. JDA said the buy will "firmly establish" JDA as a "leading enterprise software company." JDA was advised by Goldman Sachs and DLA Piper in the deal; Thomas Weisel Partners and Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr, P.C. advised i2.
