Avnet Promotes Miller to Americas VP, GM Role
Embedded electronics distributor Avnet Technology Solutions reported Wednesday that it has promoted Gavin Miller to the role of vice president and general manager of technology infrastructure solutions for its Americas region. In this position, ATS explained, Miller will oversee the sales and marketing of software, hardware and services related to storage, data management, networking, security, enterprise mobility and unified communications. ATS, which is an operating group of Phoenix-based Avnet Inc., said Miller will report to Jeff Bawol, who was named president of ATS' Americas region in May. Miller joined Avnet in 2004 as general manager of ATS' Canadian team. Before that, he spent 11 years with MITI Information Technology Inc. and xwave, which merged in 2000.
