Colorado Springs-based Olocity and Arvada, Colorado-based Demartek said this week that the two companies have partnered to create a new, independent testing lab for IT products. Financial details of the partnership were not disclosed. The firms said that the new lab, called Olabs, will focus on helping IT vendors streamline implementing systems and storage management protocols. Newly formed Olocity is focused on using management protocols being defined in the Distributed Management Task Force (DMTF) and Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) to manage storage and other systems infrastructure. Olocity is headed by Roger Reich, who formerly was at Veritas and headed the SNIA's SMI-S definition efforts.
