PakSense Inc., a manufacturer of freshness-sensing packaging products for the transportation of perishables, reported Monday that it has hired David W. Light as chief executive officer. PakSense described Light as a 25-year management veteran with a track record of building and maintaining successful businesses. Most recently, Light was CEO of Sunrise Technologies Inc., where he helped raise $25 million in private capital and increased the company’s stock value from $0.34 per share to $20 per share. In a related announcement, PakSense said founder and former CEO Tom Jensen will transition to the role of chief technical officer.
