TheraDoc Adds Houston Medical Provider
Salt Lake City, Utah-based TheraDoc, which provides clinical decision support systems, said today that the firm's systems have been adopted by the Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Administration Medical Center (MEDVAMC) in Houston, Texas. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. MEDVAMC will use the firm's software for tracking and reducing MRSA infections, the troublesome antibiotic-resistant skin infections. MRSA is a antibiotic-resistant strain of the Staphyloccocus virus. TheraDoc said that MEDVAMC provides care to more than 116,000 veterans in southeast Texas.
