Digital content delivery network Limelight Networks Inc. announced Tuesday that it has released the latest version of its Adobe Flash Media content delivery infrastructure and services. Limelight said the revised network, which is based on Adobe's Flash Media Server and Limelight's global content delivery network, incorporates numerous technological advances, such as: live streaming now available to most customers without restrictions; implementation in edge-origin CDN architecture; edge server deployment at every CDN location worldwide; and support of standard web servers as origin servers. Limelight Networks is headquartered in Tempe, Ariz. Its clients include Amazon, MSNBC.com, MySpace and FOXNews.com.
