Lifelock Founder Resigns
Robert Maynard, Jr., cofounder and Chief Operating Officer of Phoenix, Arizona-based Lifelock, has resigned. The resignation was triggered by an investigative report by the Phoenix New Times about Maynard's past bankruptcies and prior federal investigations into a previous firm run by Maynard, along with questions about Maynard's role in a identity theft issue involving his father. LifeLock operates a service that promises to help consumers prevent identity theft, and is venture backed by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Bessemer Venture Partners, and Biltmore Venture.
