Persistent data storage specialist COPAN Systems Inc. announced Wednesday that it has appointed Rod Evans as its vice president for channels and business development of the company's operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Evans, formerly of Intel Corp., boasts more than 20 years of experience in the storage and technology industry and will be responsible for COPAN's emerging channel partner business in EMEA, as well as indirect sales outside of France, Germany and the United Kingdom. At Intel, Evans helped spread the semiconductor manufacturer’s IT consulting business to Europe. COPAN Systems is a privately held firm headquartered in Longmont, Colo.
