Circadence Gets Patent
Boulder, Colorado-based Circadence is reporting today that it has been awarded a U.S. Patent for technology for overcoming denial of service attacks. The patent, number 7,020,783, is entitled "Method and System for Overcoming Denial of Service Attacks." Circadence said that the patent is the sixth based on its technology, and that it has eight pending patent applications for its web acceleration technology. According to the USPTO filing, the patent was actually granted in March of this year, and was originally filed in April of 2001. The patent names Mark Vange, Marc Plumb, and Kevin Blumberg of Toronto as inventors.
