Denver, Colorado-based ExtraQuest, a database administation software provider, has renamed itself and released its database administration software. ExtraQuest said that it was renaming the firm to StrataVia. No reason for the change in name was given. the firm said that it is releasing Data Palette 3.0, a database administration solution for Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and IBM DB2. The new software standardizes DBA functions, and helps define and capture standard operating procedures for database operations. The new product is based on software the firm developed as part of its managed services business. The firm said that Media News Group Interactive is one of the customers using its solution.
