Microchip Promotes Three Company Vets to VP Level

Analog semiconductor and microcontroller manufacturer Microchip Technology Inc. reported Monday that it has promoted three company veterans to the vice presidential level. Microchip said Eric Bjornholt, who has been with the firm since 1995, is now its vice president of finance. In this role, the Chandler, Ariz.-based business said, he will oversee the company's tax, treasury, supply management and SEC reporting. Lauren Carr, who also joined the company in 1995, has been elevated to vice president of human resources. As such, she will oversee all of Microchip's global Human Resources organization, the company said. Lastly, Microchip said it has bumped Pete Zimmer to vice president of Americas Sales. Zimmer, who joined the company in 1997, previously led various regional and global sales efforts.
