McDATA Names VP

Broomfield, Colorado-based McData said today that it has named a new Vice President of Manufacturing. The firm said that it has appointed Thomas E. Despres as Vice President of Manufacturing. Despres joins from Sun Microsystems/StorageTek, where he was in charge of StorageTek's Puerto Rico operations. Despres has also served at ASTEC APS/Emerson Energy Systems. McData is a manufacturer of storage area network switches and equipment.
