MasteryConnect Buys Socrative

Salt Lake City-based MasteryConnect said today that it has acquired Socrative, a developer of teaching assessment software for classrooms. According to MasteryConnect, it paid $5M in cash and stock for Socrative. MasteryConnect said the acquisition will help it expands its reach to more than 21 million students and 1 million teachers.
