MapQuest In Amazon Coins, MLB Promo Deal

Denver-based MapQuest is in a big promotion this week to boost installs on Amazon's Kindle Fire and other Android devices, saying it will offer up 199 free Amazon Coins--Amazon's virtual currency for buying apps and games--for downloading its app and purchasing a MLB team kit. 100 Amazon Coins are worth $1, and the MLB's team kit costs $1.99. The MLB team kits are another promotion that MapQuest has to bolster its install base, allowing users of its app to customize their MapQuest app with their favorite team's colors, log, and other information.
