MapQuest Gets Endorsement, From Apple

In a very unusual move by Apple Computer today, the maker of the iPhone issued an apology to its users, saying that the firm "fell short" on delivering the best experience to its customers. Apple CEO Tim Cook, in a letter posted to users on its site, recommended that users not happy with the Maps application to check out--among other alternatives--MapQuest. Apple suggested users who were not happy with its mapping app to try out other alternatives like Bing, Waze, or even the web version of Google. Mapquest is based in Denver, and is a unit of AOL.
