MapQuest Enhances Android App

Denver-based mapping site MapQuest has enhanced the capabilities of its Android App, saying Tuesday that it will provide better location of devices in areas like New York City. The enhancements come thanks to a deal with Skyhook, a service that uses wireless networks to determine the location of mobile phones. The firm said the move should help in high rise areas which have poor GPS coverage, including New York City and Boston. Details of the deal with Skyhook were not announced.
