Linq Home's Smart Vents Target Energy, Comfort

Looking to save some energy at home, and keep the different rooms in your house a comfortable temperature? A new, Utah startup--based in Park City--has rolled out a new Kickstarter campaign for its smart heating and air conditioning vents, which uses smart, battery-powered replacement vents which wirelessly connect to your smartphone, to allow for room-by-room temperature adjustement. The company--which is nearing its goal of $30,000 raised on Kickstarter--says its wireless retro fit system can save users 30 percent of their energy bill, by wirelessly controlling how much hot or cold air is delivered into individual rooms. The company has raised $28,614 so far for its device, from 38 backers. The company comes out of the BoomStartup startup accelerator in Park City.
