Lijit Hit By Phishing Scheme

Boulder-based Lijit, which provides web search tools and online advertising for web publishers, is warning this morning that the firm has found that a malicious site is trying to collect login information for the site. Lijit said that it has contacted Domain Registrars and other authorities as a precautionary measure after discovering the scheme. It appears the bogus site takes advantage of a commonly mis-typed version of Lijit's URL to lure in unsuspecting users.
