LifeLock Names CTO

Tempe, Arizona-based LifeLock, the ubiquitous provider of identity theft protection services, said today that it has named Prakash Ramamurthy as the firm's Chief Technology Officer. Ramamurthy joins the firm from Gaia Online, where he was Senior Vice President of Product Management and Engineering. Ramamurthy also has previously served at Oracle Corporation, where he was VP of Identity Management and Security Products, in addition to serving at Oblix, C*ATS Software, Mentor Graphics Corp., and Verity, Inc. LifeLock is venture backed by Goldman Sachs, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Bessemer Venture Partners.
