Liberty Media's Useful Networks Buys Location-based Services Firm

Denver-based Useful Networks, a developer of technology for the location-based services market, said today that it has acquired KnowledgeWhere, a Canadian firm providing mobile games, location-based advertising, and other products. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. KnowledgeWhere develops a platform used for social networking, games, and other mobile applications. Useful Networks is a subsidiary of Liberty Media, and provides technology to Internet and mobile carriers for location-based services.
