Level 3 Ties Into Microsoft Lync

Broomfield, Colorado-based Level 3 Communications said this morning it is working with Microsoft Corp., to help supply enhanced 911 services with Microsoft's unified communications software product, Microsoft Lync. Level 3 said it is looking to provide SIP trunking with nomadic E-911 services to Microsoft, for enterprise customers using Microsoft's unified communications product for voice-over-IP phone calls. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
