Level 3 Signs Healthcare Customer

Broomfield, Colo.-based Level 3 Communications revealed today that it will supply primary network connectivity solutions to a leading health care management services firm. The financial impact of the customer win was not disclosed. Level 3, which provides fiber optics-based communications services across the globe, said it has signed a multi-year agreement to deliver direct Internet access and voice services to MDI Holdings Inc. The services, Level 3 explained, will be provided via an Internet protocol virtual private network with direct connections to MDI's main locations: Ponte Vedra, Fla.; Lake Mary, Fla.; Ontario, Calif.; Sacramento, Calif.; and Fort Worth, Texas.
