Level 3 Completes tw telecom Acquisition

Broomfield, Colorado-based communications provider Level 3 Communications said Friday that it has completed its acquisition of tw telecom. The deal was worth approximately $7.3 billion. The deal had been announced in June. The two said the combined company will now serve more than 50,000 customers worldwide, and will have more than 13,000 employees, with more than 200,000 route miles globally.
