Lefthand Networks Acquired By HP

Boulder, Colorado-based LeftHand Networks has been acquired by HP, in a $360M deal, HP announced Wednesday morning. HP said Wednesday that it will acquire LeftHand Networks in an all-cash deal, for LeftHand's iSCSI SAN technology. LeftHand's software was used to provide iSCSI storage area networking and storage virtualization to data centers. According to HP, LeftHand has 215 employees, and will become part of HP's StorageWorks division, with the Technology Solutions Group at HP. LeftHand was venture backed by Boulder Ventures, EPIC Ventures, Garage Technology Ventures, Ironside Ventures, Panorama Capital, Portage Ventures, Sequel Venture Partners, Sprout Group, Valhalla Partners, Vista Ventures, and William Blair Capital Partners, and had raised over $45M in venture funding.
