Kynetx Takes On Browser Apps

Lehi, Utah-based Kynetx, the live web software tools firm founded by Phil Windley, announced today that it has launched a new version of its AppBuilder tool. The firm said it has enhanced the software so that developers can create and distribute "browser apps". Those apps are cloud-based applications which run in Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Internet Explorer. Kynetx develops software which makes it easier for developers to tap into cloud-based information, real time information, and services. Kynetx compared the firm's tools to Greasemonkey, the Mozilla Firefox extension which allows developers to make on-the-fly changes to web pages; Kynetx said its own solution does not have the limitations of Greasemonkey, including wider support for browsers and simplified scripting.
