JDA Software Loses Lawsuit

Scottsdale, Arizona-based software maker JDA Software Group said Wednesday that it has lost a lawsuit, in a litigation between Dillard's Inc. and i2 Technologies, which JDA acquired in January. According to JDA, a Texas jury awarded $246M in damages to Dillard's in the case, where Dillard's alleged that i2 failed to meet obligations to Dillard's in a $8M software license contract. JDA said the verdict "is unjustified" and that the firm will "pursue every avenue" to overturn the verdict.
