Jabber, Macromedia Partner
Denver-based Jabber and Macromedia said today that the two companies are planing to integrate Macromedia's Breeze Meeting and Jabber's XCP instant messaing server as a part of an engagement aimed at the Department of Defense. The two companies will offer a joint offering targeted at the DoD and other federal agencies for deploying web conferencing, instant messaging, and chat features. Breeze Meeting is Macromedia's web conferencing and collaboration software based on the Flash media player. Jabber develops instant messaging servers and software based on Extensible Markup Language (XML) data and the Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol (XMPP).
