Isonics Sells Wafer Business

Isonics Corp., a developer of silicon wafers and homeland security products, has sold one of its divisions, Isonics Semiconductor Group, to a Silicon Valley firm, WRS Materials. Isonics, which trades on the OTCBB, previously was based in Golden, Colorado--but now lists its headquarters in public filings as New York City. According to San Jose-based WRS Materials, Isonics Semiconductor, which is based in Vancouver, Washington, was one of three divisons of Isonics Corp, and provided wafer thinning and silicon-on-insulater wafers for the semiconductor industry.
